Pontian Society “Akritai” of Philadelphia Hosts 86th Annual Dinner Dance

The Pontian Society “Akritai” of Philadelphia will celebrate its 86th Annual Dinner Dance on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 229 Powell Lane, Upper Darby, PA.

This long-standing tradition brings together the community for an evening of Pontian music, dance, and fellowship. This year’s entertainment will feature an outstanding lineup from Greece, including Giorgos Ioannidis and Babis Kemanetzidis, with Kyriakos Papadopoulos on klarino.

The Pontiako program also includes Giannis Froutis (keyboards), Giorgos Petridis (drums), Christos Tiktapanidis (lyra), and Haralambos Almazidis (daouli), ensuring an unforgettable night of authentic Pontian sounds.

Guests will enjoy a full buffet dinner, with tickets priced at $80 (children 12 & under $40). Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
