Anna Constantinou (née Macrogeane) passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 91.
Born on May 27, 1934, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she was the youngest daughter of George and Calliope Macrogeane, who immigrated from the island of Kos, Greece. Anna grew up in a close Greek-American community in Amish Country with her sister Katherine (Bob) Coustenis, surrounded by a large extended family and strong family traditions.
At a national GOYA convention in Memphis, Tennessee, she met her husband Gus Constantinou. They were married for 61 years and raised two daughters, Patricia (Mark) Berryman and Georganne (Greg) Lutz.
Anna’s greatest joy came from her family, especially her five grandchildren, Dean, Alexander, Arianna, Evan, and Nicholas. She cherished every moment with them and took pride in their accomplishments.
A dedicated member of St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall, Anna lived her faith through service and community involvement. She attended Bible study, participated in Sunday services, and helped prepare loukoumades for the parish’s annual Greek Affair.
She enjoyed time with family and friends, theater performances, movies, and lunches out. She loved to cook and plan holiday gatherings, always ensuring everyone felt welcome at her table.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral service on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N. Malin Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. The viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church in Anna’s memory.
