Annunciation/Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park is expanding its Greek School teaching team as enrollment continues to grow across multiple age levels.

The parish’s Greek School serves students from Pre-K through advanced classes, with a program built around language, faith, and cultural education. The program is part of the parish’s broader educational efforts serving families across the Philadelphia area.

The school has recently strengthened its curriculum, with a more structured focus on cultural and faith-based learning, reflecting what many families are looking for today.

The call is open to individuals who are fluent in Greek and interested in working with children in an evening program setting. Teaching schedules are typically one to two evenings per week.

Beyond language instruction, teachers help students stay connected to Greek identity through literacy, traditions, and shared history. The work reflects a broader goal shared by many parish-based Greek schools: passing on language while keeping cultural continuity close to home.

The parish describes the position not simply as a teaching role, but as a way to stay connected to the community while contributing to the next generation.

Both experienced educators and individuals with a strong background in Greek language and culture are encouraged to reach out.
