Annunciation Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park will mark its 125th anniversary with a gala celebration on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the Crystal Tea Room in The Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia.

The anniversary traces the parish’s history to 1901, when Greek immigrants established the Greek Orthodox Community of Philadelphia. In remarks posted by the parish, Annunciation is described as the sixth Greek Orthodox church founded in the United States and the first in the Philadelphia region.

The gala is part of the parish’s yearlong observance of 125 years of Orthodox faith and community in Philadelphia. The parish’s anniversary website lists the event as the 125th Anniversary Gala Celebration and places it at the Crystal Tea Room, 100 E. Penn Square.

Mike Emmanuel, Chief White House Correspondent for Fox News, is listed as Master of Ceremonies. The event is black tie optional. The posted schedule begins with check-in and cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by the 125th Anniversary Program and Dinner at 7 p.m. Dancing and entertainment by NYC’s Power Station Entertainment are scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Tickets and sponsorship information are available through the anniversary website at celebrate125.com. The site also lists commemorative album sponsorships and hotel accommodation information for guests attending the October 10 gala.
