The Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America will host the Archbishop’s Nameday Gala on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 7 PM at Leonard’s Palazzo in Great Neck, New York. The celebration honors the feast day of His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros and raises essential support for the Archdiocesan Youth Summer Camp Scholarship Fund, which helps children across the Archdiocese attend Orthodox summer camps regardless of financial ability.
These camping ministries nurture faith, fellowship and spiritual growth within a supportive environment. The experiences gained at camp stay with participants for life, forming friendships and a deep connection to Christ and His Church.
This year the Gala will present the Archbishop’s Award of Excellence to Paulette Poulos and Philip Christopher, recognizing their distinguished service to the Archdiocese and to the wider Greek American community.
Tickets are 300 dollars per person. Sponsorship options are available for those who wish to further support the effort, including table sponsorships that provide premier seating and participation in a VIP reception.
As Archbishop Elpidophoros has emphasized, the scholarship fund has become a lasting commitment to the future of the Church, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to experience camp and grow in the Orthodox faith.
