Cinnaminson, NJ – A night of dancing and scholarships were part of the annual United Chios Society of Philadelphia, Koreas Chapter 16 dinner dance.
The annual dinner dance raises scholarship every year that are awarded to college-bound students. The students of Chios decent are awarded $2,000 dollars each, that they can use for tuition.
The event was hosted at the Merion where live music from Chios with George Floradis on Clarinet and his band and singer Stella Xouli. All proceeds each year from this event benefit the Chios Liberation Memorial Scholarship and Chios Society “Koraes” Scholarship.
The scholarship applications are available for students to apply through the Hellenic University Club website.
