King of Prussia, PA – On Saturday March 12th, the Daughters of Penelope Power District #4 held their Eastern Sector Seminar honoring Grand President Connie Pilallis and the Honorable Ourania Papademetriou, Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County. Past Grand President Helen J. Beldecos and several Past District Governors were in attendance. District Governor Kim Krawizcki and Lt. Governor Diana Gregorakis hosted the event.

Judge Papademetriou inspired the room as she shared how her faith, family and her Hellenic heritage played a central role in dedicating her life to protecting the rights of the underprivileged and giving voice to those who often go unheard or lack the confidence or opportunity to speak. The Sisters were touched by her kindness and warmth as she walked around the room to meet each Sister in attendance. She will be initiated into the Philadelphia Tritonia Chapter by Grand President Connie.

Grand President Connie led by example as she arrived early to meet and greet each Sister upon their arrival. During her second visit to the District, she challenged the Sisters to continue to grow as leaders. They were moved by her humility and ingenuity as she called them to “RENEW” themselves to the mission of the AHEPA family.

District Governor Kim Krawizcki introduced a new social media plan to expand communication around the District and to increase membership. They activated the new District Facebook and Instagram accounts.  Lt. Gov. Diana Gregorakis gave the women an update on the Pittsburgh Maids of Athena Chapter.

The Seminar closed with “Philanthropy in Action” as they assembled backpacks for children in need around the District. Many Chapters donated their backpacks to children in South Philadelphia.
