Demosthenes (Demos) Halkias, age 89, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on July 1, 2016. Son of Dimitrios Halkias and Irene Alexopoulos Halkias, he was predeceased by his brother, Peter Halkias and survived by siblings Paraskevi (Parris) Halkias, Nicholas Halkias, and Margaret Halkias Riggins as well as several nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing beginning at 10 am on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 229 Powell Ln, Upper Darby, PA. Funeral at 11 am. Interment: Fernwood Cemetery.
