Despo Solomou, 72, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020.
Despo was born in Famagusta, Cyprus, and was the late Yiannis’ daughter and the late Thekla (Psatha) Mousoupetrou.
For the past 43 years, she lived in Upper Darby and was a member of St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall, PA.
She is predeceased by her husband, Christakis Solomou, and survived by her children Christina Solomou and John Solomou and daughter-in-law Dena Solomou. Her siblings Anthony Mousoupetros, Mark Mousoupetros, and Lia Mousoupetrou, 4 grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was a Teacher’s Aide, employed by Step By Step Learning Center for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Cyprus Society of Greater Philadelphia. She enjoyed being around friends and family and would always show up with flowers and food. She always had a camera around her neck and was ready for a day trip.
Graveside service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Fernwood Cemetery, 6501 Baltimore Ave, Fernwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made to Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation.
