Multimedia artist Avgi Maria Atmatzidou will present Echoes of Hera: Voices Across the Ocean on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Stathakeion Cultural Center in Astoria, New York.

The performance is being held under the auspices of the Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York. It centers on Greek women’s journeys to America and the memories carried across generations.

The production combines multimedia storytelling, visual projections, soundscapes, and archival inspiration, using Hera as a symbolic witness to displacement and transformation.

“This work is an artistic dialogue between memory and migration,” Atmatzidou said in an announcement. “It is dedicated to the voices of women whose stories shaped communities across borders, cultures, and time.”

Echoes of Hera: Voices Across the Ocean will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Stathakeion Cultural Center, 22-51 29th Street, Astoria, NY 11105.
