Efstathios A. Lolosides passed away peacefully on December 15th, 2017 surrounded by his family.

He was born in Katerini Greece and came to the United States 1969 as a small boy. He worked hard and graduated from Upper Darby High School. While there he pursued his passion for soccer. He played for the high school team and helped them win the Nationals competition. Even after that triumph, he continued to be an avid soccer fan. It was a significant part of him throughout his whole life. After High school, he became a sandblaster and painter. He specialized in bridge painting and would often regale family and friends with stories of the different bridges he painted and fixed. He was also a true craftsman, always fixing or building things for his family. He loved working with his hands.

First and foremost he was a family man. He married the love of his life, Athina, in January of 1977. Together they raised three children. There is nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. He always spoiled them with love and generosity. One of his greatest joys was being blessed with his grandson. For three years he was the center of his life.

His devoted wife Athina survives him. His loving children Olga (Anastasios) Peppas, Alex, Chris; and his beloved grandson Georgie. He is also survived by his sister Anna (Athanasios) Limbanovonos and nephews Alex, George, and Lazuras.

His funeral service will be 11 am Thursday at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 229 Powell Ln, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Viewing, one hour before service in the church. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
