Philadelphia, PA – Through song, poem and dance, the Greek School of Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church, presented their annual program on Greek Independence Day and the Feast Day of the Annunciation of the Holy Theotokos.
The festivities began with traditional folk dances under the direction of dance teacher, Mrs. Liza Karakasidis Vlachodionysopoulos, who has been with Evangelismos for two years. She expressed her gratitude and love for her students and announced to the parents that a new GOYA dance group would be formed in the fall – for all those that wish to continue dancing after graduating from the Greek school program. The March 25th program featured, poems, songs and a play, Το Παιδομάζωμα, which showcased the graduating students of this year.
