Valley Forge, PA – Epiphany Day was commemorated yesterday at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church and then along the Schuylkill River. Led by Father Peter Thornberg, parishioners were blessed and received holy water during church services. The special service celebrated the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River. Following services, the congregation gathered at the Schuylkill river where a wooden cross was tossed into the river three times by Father Thornberg.
