The Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley will hold its September meeting next Monday, September 8, 2025, at 7:00 PM at the St. George Cathedral Community Center, 256 South 8th Street, Philadelphia.
President Harry J. Karapalides invites all member societies, churches, and friends to take part in the first meeting of the season after the summer break. The agenda includes plans for the 2025 Greek Independence Parade and Celebration, preparations for the Philadelphia Marathon in cooperation with the Greek Consulate of New York, and reports from the Endowment Fund, the Young Leaders Committee, and other committees.
Member churches and organizations are asked to provide the names and emails of their current parish council president and secretary. The Federation is also updating its community calendar and encourages groups to submit event details and flyers to hellenicfed@hotmail.com for inclusion.
The meeting will open and close with prayer, with discussion of old and new business in between.
All member societies are encouraged to attend and take part in shaping the cultural, educational, and philanthropic work of the Greek-American community in Philadelphia and the Greater Delaware Valley.
