Edison, NJ – The Fifth District Cancer Research Foundation hosted its 25th Annual Fall Gala at Pines Manor on Saturday evening. The event raises awareness and awards funds for cancer. Some $885, 000 have been raised so far. On this night, $40,000 was distributed throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania Research centers.
The Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, Fox Chase Cancer Center and the Weill Cornell Medical College/Children’s Blood Foundation each had members of their research teams present for the awards ceremony that were presented by Chairman George G. Horiatis and Andrew C. Zachariades Treasurer.
