Filia Plianthos of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, passed away on August 3, 2026. She was 90.
She and her late husband, Panagiotis G. Plianthos, were married for more than 50 years. She is survived by their sons, George Plianthos and his wife, Desiree, and Nick Plianthos and his wife, Kathryn.
Her grandchildren are Jim Plianthos and his wife, Victoria; Bill Plianthos; Joe Plianthos; Zach Plianthos and his wife, Alicia; Kelly Fitzgerald and her husband, James; and Peter Plianthos. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, James, Nolan, and Olivia.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Wednesday, August 12, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer Street in Cherry Hill. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Locustwood Memorial Park, 1500 Marlton Pike West in Cherry Hill. A luncheon will follow at Barone’s Tuscan Grill, 280 Young Avenue in Moorestown.
