Broomall, PA – What launched forty-one years ago was a celebration that’s helped build a community. The St. Luke Greek Affair kicked off its four-day festivities this past Thursday and continue through the weekend. If you love people, Greek food, traditional folk dancing and are by Orthodox frescoes, then visiting this church should be on your agenda this weekend.

We came out on Friday evening where the lines were long, but the people were smiling. They waited patiently a taste of Greek food while being entertained. Seizmos Music provided live entertainment throughout the evening. And traditional folk dancing by the St. Luke folk dancers stirred a few to clap along. Inside the air-conditioned church hall, ala carte platters were served. Moussaka, Pastitsio, Lamb shanks and more were all on order.

You could stroll across the campus and visit vendors or hit the Monastiraki for shopping. Tables lined the perimeter of the campus and filled the tents were guests got to explore their Greek food. The Greek Affair continues through Sunday. Doors open at 11:00 am and close when they’re sold out.
