George K. Pouleres, 82, of Linwood, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kallemasia, Chios, Greece, he was the cherished son of the late Konstantinos and Evyenia (Fountas) Pouleres and the devoted husband of Vilma (Merced) Pouleres, with whom he shared 63 wonderful years of marriage.

After graduating from high school, George served in the Greek Merchant Marines and the Air Force. He later immigrated to the United States, where he began working in restaurants across New York. In 1970, he settled in Atlantic City, NJ, and co-founded KayVil Construction with his brother John. Together, they operated the business for many years, faithfully serving the South Jersey community.

George was a proud member of AHEPA and a dedicated parishioner of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Atlantic City. He loved spending time outdoors, especially beach and deep-sea fishing, hunting, and playing soccer, but above all, he cherished time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Vilma Pouleres; his daughters, Evyenia (Constantine) Economides and Maria (Rick) Casagrande; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; his daughter-in-law, Joanne Pouleres; his sisters, Stella Vroulis and Argiro Kounis; and his brother, John (Katherine) Pouleres. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sons, Konstantinos and Pablo Pouleres.

A funeral service was recently held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, where loved ones gathered to celebrate and honor George’s life.
