The Society of Epirotes of Philadelphia, known as “Omonia,” recently held a luncheon at Adelphia Restaurant in New Jersey to honor Dr. John Lambris, Ph.D. Dr. Lambris is a distinguished member of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in therapeutic research aimed at curing various diseases.
For over 30 years, his research group has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, accumulating more than $45 million in funding. Attendees included Dr. Lambris, his family, and fellow members of the Epirotes of Philadelphia. Originally from Epirus, Greece, Dr. Lambris has resided in the Philadelphia area for more than two decades and is an active member of the local chapter, “Omonia.”
During his speech, Dr. Lambris expressed gratitude to the attendees and briefly discussed his research. He emphasized the significance of the organization and the importance of contributing to the Greek community.
