Upper Darby, PA – Commencements and graduations are taking place and students are being recognized for their achievements around the Delaware Valley. One of our students in the Greek-American community Vasili Economou, (Cardinal O’Hara h.s.) achieved national recognition with his perfect score on his National Latin Examination.

The American Classic League and the National Junior Classical League last week awarded Vasilis Economou, a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church (Upper Darby) and the Pontian Akritai Club house where he dances, the Certificate of Honorable Merit (Summa Cum Laude).

Economou was amongst the 1833 students around the world who attained the perfect score. More than 140,000 students around the world participated including USA, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Guam, England, Italy, France, Philippines, Poland, Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Spain, Japan, Singapore, Germany, Zimbabwe, Netherlands and Oman.
