Upper Darby, Pa. St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Feb. 5th 2012. While all eyes around the country were focused on Indianapolis, Indiana and the Super bowl, family, friends and members of the Greek community gathered for the 32 yr. in a row for the Greek Orthodox Youth Association playoff season in the Greek community. Eight teams from Broomall, PA. to Egg Harbor NJ came together for the first round that concluded with a variety of finishes. The shocker of the day, was the last game, where 4rth seed St. Demetrios of Upper Darby was upset by the 5th seed St. Thomas of Cherry Hill. The game action continues next week in Egg Harbor NJ, at Holy Trinity where the semi-finals will take place.
