Elkins Park, PA – “Each Memorial Day weekend, everyone becomes Greek in Elkins Park”, said one guest. It sure looked that way at the Annunciation Greek Festival yesterday. The lines were longer than ever and the kefi could be felt all the way to the city.
The Greek communities oldest church has been hosting this festival for more than forty years now. When you talk with guests, many of said they return with 2nd and 3rd generations of family members. Ask them what they like most, and you’ll find a variety of answers. But the one thing they all agree on is the great sense of community. It’s a place for all. Young and old alike to celebrate great food, culture and a sense of pride in unity.
