Upper Darby, PA – The Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley hosted its annual Christmas party on Tuesday evening at the Pontian Leski. Representatives from organizations across the Delaware Valley came out to share the holiday spirit and a great meal.

Effies Catering laid out a spread of traditional Greek food, and Evans Pizza brought in trays of traditional Greek Christmas cookies, which included Melamakarona and Kourampiethes. The packed clubhouse kicked off with a prayer and then a brief meeting.

Parade preparations and upcoming events in the region were discussed. Several announcements were made, including the parade theme, The Pontian Genocide. The Grand Marshall of the parade was announced. Carry Mossaidis, a long time member of the Pontian Leski will lead the parade in honor of the commemorative theme.
