Cinnaminson, NJ – Hellenic professional and civic organizations from across the Philadelphia metropolitan area once again united for their annual Vasilopita celebration at Merion Caterer. The event raised funds and awareness for Greece. A check for $2,000 was presented to representatives from the American Red Cross for their relief efforts in Lesbos, and to continue its philanthropic work in Greece.
Members present from various organizations included the Hellenic Medical Society of Philadelphia, the Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia, the American Hellenic Lawyers Association, the Greek American Chamber of Commerce (Philadelphia Chapter), the Greek American Heritage Society of Philadelphia and the Federation of Hellenic American Societies of Greater Philadelphia.
