CHERRY HILL, NJ — His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey continued his Holy Thursday services at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday evening, following an earlier stop in Wilmington as part of his Holy Week schedule across the Philadelphia area.
The service, which includes Orthros and the Service of the Lord’s Passion, is presented above in two parts.
Earlier in the day, Metropolitan Apostolos presided over the Divine Liturgy of St. Basil the Great in Wilmington before continuing to Cherry Hill. Cosmos Philly has previously covered that service and published his full Holy Week schedule.
Observed on Holy Thursday, the service centers on the Passion of Christ and includes extended Gospel readings that follow the events leading to the Crucifixion.
