Hot Greek Food On A Cold Winters Night, Come And Get It. Opa!

Elkins Park, PA – OPA! Said over and over again by parishioners, it was certainly fitting. The congregation of Annunciation Greek Orthodox church, kicked off the weekend by hosting a food festival that warmed your heart and filled your stomach. The cold and rainy weather brought in friends and PhilHellenes on for a homemade meal, good parea and Greek music.

Wrapped in white aprons, Rev. Economos John L. Johns and many of the parishioners worked the food lines throughout the evening serving hungry Greek food fans. No dinner bell? No problem. The OPA band played traditional Greek music while you picked out your entrees and shared a drink.

The Opa Winter Greek Food festival continues through the weekend. It’s not too late to come out and enjoy the fun.
