Upper Darby, PA – It was a nervous night at St. Demetrios. The final week concluded with two first place teams going head to head in an exciting game that ended on the final shot.
The champs met up with the contenders for what could be a preview to the championship. The Kings and Danny’s Boys duked it out, each team controlling ½ of the game, the Kings, the first, Danny’s Boys the second. When the buzzer sounded and the last shot was missed, Danny’s Boys stood atop the PGBL regular season play. Danny’s Boys 69, Kings 67.
Thats the way it ended in the highlight game. The first match featured two teams at war. With names like the Warriors and the Revolution, they were bound to do battle with a lot of passion on the court. Hi paced and full of energy, we nearly forgot to check the clock and score. When the battle was over, the Warriors had claimed the victory. Final score: Warriors 46, Revolution 44.
Rip City and the Sixers closed out the night in the final game. Both teams have history and can threaten any team. Tonight, the two played a solid match that ended with a W for Rip City. Final score: Rip City 63, Sixers 50.
