Louise A. Nichols passed away on February 7th, 2017. Born in Norristown to Stephen and Anna Stanel, she grew up in Germantown, PA. Being musically gifted, she attended Beaver College and the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. While in college she met the love of her life George, the man who would become her husband. Putting aside plans to become a concert pianist they raised a loving family together.
Louise was a founding member of St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall as well as the choir director and οrganist for many years. She was also a member of the Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia.
She is predeceased by her husband George and survived by her children James, Stephanie, husband Steven, Hummel, and Christine, and husband Paul, Efstration. She is Aunt to Sierra, and husband Gregg, Murphy and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are welcome to her viewing at St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 35 N Malin Rd, Broomall, PA 19008 on Friday from 10 am to 11 am. Her funeral service will be 11 am. She will be interred at Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
