The family and friends of 17-year-old Marcus Papanikolaou are mourning the devastating and unexpected loss of their beloved Marcus on Friday, October 13th, due to a fatal car accident.

Marcus was the cherished son of Pete and Christina Papanikolaou and the loving younger brother of Maximus. He held a special place in the hearts of his grandparents, Simizar and Ivan, as well as Vasiliki and George. Marcus brought tremendous joy to his aunts Sofia and Olympia, his uncles George and Chris, and his many other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

Though only 17, Marcus profoundly touched many lives with his warm smile, compassionate heart, and ability to brighten any room with his contagious laugh and joyful spirit. He valued his family and friends above all else. Marcus’ memory will forever remain a blessing to all those who knew him.

Relatives and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Marcus’ life at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, located at 6501 Bustleton Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19149, on Tuesday, October 18th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A funeral service will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Newtown, PA.

In lieu of flowers, friends of the Papanikolaou family have set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to assist with funeral costs and living expenses as they grieve the loss of their son. This fundraiser will help relieve the financial burden so Pete and Christina can focus on healing their broken hearts without worrying about finances. The loving parents have always worked hard so their children could thrive. Donations will provide the family with the time they need to properly mourn Marcus.

If you are unable to donate, please share the GoFundMe page. Prayers for the family’s healing and comfort are also deeply appreciated during this difficult time.
