Philadelphia, PA – Evangelismos tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church community invites everyone to a weekend full of the flavors, sights, and sounds of Greece. From September 25th to 27th, 2015, the Big Fat Greek Festival returns for its fall feast. You name it, they’ve got it. Gyros, Souvlaki, Lemon Chicken, and their famous Kontosouvli are all on the menu for this three-day event that promises to fill your stomachs and satisfy your craving for all things Greek.
Live Music by will be performed by Stoxos Entertainment of Friday and Saturday. Get your dancing shoes on and prepare to sing your favorite Greek songs along with the band. Original Folk dancing will be performed by the Evangelismos Greek school students each day.
A Big Raffle will be drawn on Sunday. Prizes include a $200 dollar gift certificate, 50” Inch TV, and a $1000 cash prize. Try a homemade Greek sweets, including galaktoboureko, karydopita, melomakarona, roxakia along with a frappe or traditional Greek coffee. Then Get your Greek on. OPA!
