A musical program honoring the Hellenic musical heritage of Constantinople and Asia Minor will take place this April in South Jersey, as Nightingales: A Recital is presented live as part of the Saint Thomas Gala.

The recital will feature the SBM Choir, the Politikon Ensemble, and the St. Thomas Choir, bringing together East and West while showcasing the beauty of modal music through a program centered on the secular music of Constantinople and the traditional music of the Asia Minor region.

George and the late Zoe Kousoulis will be honored during the evening, in memory of their daughter Danielle Kousoulis, with the first annual Saint Thomas Medal of Faith Award.

The SBM Choir is directed by Georgios Theodoridis, Archon Music Instructor of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. The St. Thomas Choir is directed by Protopsaltis Anastasios Fakinos, also a music instructor of the Archdiocese. Both choirs will be accompanied by the Politikon Ensemble.
