The OPA! Festival is in full swing this weekend at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park, offering a vibrant celebration of Greek food, music, and community. The festival runs through Sunday at 7921 Old York Road, with free admission and parking available behind the church and on nearby streets.
Festival Hours:
Thursday: 4–9 p.m.
Friday & Saturday: 11 a.m.–9 p.m.
Sunday: 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
Visitors can enjoy a rich menu of Greek favorites, including fresh gyros, moussaka, spanakopita, lemon chicken, and homemade pastries. Greek wines, beers, and traditional coffee are also on offer.
Live music sets the tone throughout the weekend, with Apollonia featuring Maria and Tony Pearce taking the stage on Saturday. The full entertainment lineup is available at epgreekfest.com.
Festivalgoers can also experience traditional Greek dancing by local youth groups, guided tours of the church, and games and activities for families — all under the festival’s largest tent yet, ensuring festivities continue rain or shine.
This year’s theme, “Where Community and Culture Come Together,” underscores the festival’s mission to celebrate shared traditions and support local causes. Proceeds benefit area charities.
Whether you’re coming for the food, the music, or just the atmosphere, there’s still time to join the celebration. For more details, visit epgreekfest.com.
