Panayiotis “Peter” Spartiatis, 72, of Sicklerville, New Jersey, passed away on July 6, 2026.

Peter was born in Poulithra, Greece, a small village by the sea. As a young man, he came to the United States, where he made his home, married his wife, Janice, and raised their two sons.

Peter and Janice shared more than 50 years of marriage. Their family grew to include their sons, Robert and Shawn, and their grandchildren, Timothe and Bianca.

The sea stayed close to Pete throughout his life. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and eventually owned his own boat, a connection that reached back to the coastal town where he was raised. He also loved to cook, drawing from his Greek heritage and taking pleasure in preparing food for family and friends. For Pete, cooking was tied to company, conversation, and time spent with the people he loved.

Pete is survived by his wife, Janice Spartiatis; his sons, Robert Spartiatis and his wife, Michele, and Shawn Spartiatis and his wife, Jeannine; his grandchildren, Timothe and Bianca; his sisters, Maria Latsis and Pagona Spartiatis; and his nephews, extended family, and friends.

A viewing will be held Saturday, July 11, from 9:00 to 10:15 AM at Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer Street, Cherry Hill, New Jersey. A service will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Chews Landing.
