Upper Darby, PA – The longest losing streak in PGBL history has come to an end. Team Hellas has emerged with their first victory.
In game three, two teams that have not won a game this season met up. The Mavericks and Hellas. Team Hellas hadn’t won a game since entering the league last year, but tonight was finally their night. They kept their attack going all night and pulled out their first victory. Final score: Hellas 43, Mavericks 35.
In game two, the Warriors took on the Sixers who stayed within a point of each other till half time. Nick Karalis and Big Will drove it home with a lot of hard defense. The Sixers pulled with in a bucket more than a few times and had chances, but were not in sync. Warriors win. Final score: Warriors 52, Sixers 45.
In the evenings opener, the Spartans managed to pull out a victory over the Revolution who were playing with only 4 men throughout the evening. Inside the paint, the Spartan big man Pete Tsamoulis stuck the 8 footers all night, giving the Spartans, their second win of the season. Final score: Spartans 61, Revolution 44.
