Upper Darby, PA – With just two weeks left, the battle for the championship of the PGBL is heating up. Two games last night ended the season as blowouts. The Spartans and Sixers both came out fighting early on, but the laws of gravity were undeniable, as Danny’s Boys and the Kings proved why they will be part of the final four.

In game one, the defending champs, Danny’s Boys took a blow from the Spartans and looked a little unorganized for the first few minutes of the game, before taking control. Costa Nikolos dropped five three pointers in the first half, before Danny’s Boys pulled away completely. Final score: Danny’s Boys 70, Spartans 51.

The second matchup was almost a repeat of the first. The Sixers scored first and put a lot of pressure on the Kings who scrambled to get inline with the game. At one point, early on, the score was 19-19 and appeared that it would be a great game to watch. But by late in the first half, the Kings proved why they are a contender for champs as they pulled away. The second half was all Kings as they scored over a hundred points. Final score: Sixers 56, Kings 102.
