Hatboro, Pa. – The  Philadelphia Greek Basketball League hosted on July 27 the first ever adult summer basketball tournament. The PGBL has been a fixture in the Greek community for more than 6 years now, bringing together adult Greek men over the age of 18 to play basketball, mingle and share their Hellenism via a weekly basketball league that meets twice a week at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church in Upper Darby, Pa.
Bill Zonios, one of the original founders of the league and his colleagues hosted this first ever event this past weekend at Renegades gym in the Philly suburbs. More than 16 teams participated in the event from all over the Delaware Valley, bringing together Greeks and the community.
