Scrappy Play, Unbeaten Runs, and a Champion’s Statement Win at the PGBL
Hustle and grit were on full display this week at the Philadelphia Greek Basketball League, especially in the first two matchups of the night.
Game 1: The Wolfpack came out strong and never let up, defeating the Revolution 66–52 in a game defined by physical play and aggressive defense.
Game 2: Danny’s Boys stayed perfect on the season, moving to 4–0 with a hard-fought 64–54 win over Rip City. Their balanced play and team-first mentality continue to set the tone for the league.
Game 3: The defending champions reminded everyone why they’re still the team to beat. The Sixers overpowered the struggling Kings 67–46, capitalizing on turnovers and controlling the pace from start to finish. The Kings, who have looked flat in recent weeks, will need to regroup quickly if they want to stay in playoff contention.
Stay tuned — this season is just getting started, and every game is shifting the storylines.
