Philadelphia, PA – The Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley invites the community to the Annual Greek Flag Raising Ceremony at Philadelphia City Hall on Friday, April 4, 2025. The event begins at 12:30 PM on the North Apron, with the Greek flag proudly rising at 1:00 PM. It marks the start of a weekend filled with tradition, pride, and celebration.
This year’s ceremony will welcome His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey, along with federal, state, and local officials, religious leaders, and dignitaries from Greece. One of the most anticipated highlights is the presence of the Greek Presidential Guard (Evzones), known for their iconic uniforms and deep historical significance.
Following the flag-raising, a traditional Greek dance performance will bring energy and culture to the heart of Philadelphia, setting the tone for a festive weekend.
