Philadelphia, PA – It was a quiet game last night between the Phillies and the Cardinals through the 5th inning. The score, 1-1. And then the party began. The Pan-Macedonian Dance Group came out onto the field at third base along with the Phillie Phanatic. The crowd cheered and clapped along as Greek Heritage Night was celebrated for the fourth year in a row.

The evening was sponsored by the American Hellenic Institute in Washington DC and kicked off with Miss Elena Iliadis singing the American National Anthem. Greek food, additional dancing before the game and the first ball being thrown out by Haris Lalacos, Ambassador of Greece to the US, highlighted the annual event now in its fourth year.
