Presbytera Antonia D. (Nitsa) Katerlis, devoted wife of the late Rev. Fr. Demetrios Katerlis, fell asleep in the Lord on September 8, 2025.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Minnie & Nicholas Tripolitis and Flora & Gerasimos Koumatos; her grandchildren Constantine & Jenny Tripolitis, Christina & Tony Paxinos, Erene & John Vasiliou, Demetra Antonia & Loukas Kozonis, and Demetrios Tripolitis; and her great-grandchildren Nicholas & Anna Tripolitis, Stavros & Angelique Paxinos, Dimosthenes, Flora, & Katerina Vasiliou, and Demetrios Kozonis. She is also survived by her brother Antonios Tamvakis and sister-in-law Demetra, as well as many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and extended family.

Funeral Services
Orthros and Divine Liturgy will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. George, 256 S. 8th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107 (215-627-4389). The viewing will follow at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. George Cathedral Restoration Fund in Memory of Presbytera Antonia Katerlis (256 S. 8th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107).

Please note, there will be no funeral procession from the Cathedral to Locustwood Cemetery. Family and friends are kindly asked to drive directly and gather inside the cemetery gates following the service.
