Saint Demetrios Greek Language School of Upper Darby is seeking a principal to lead its Greek language program and support its work with students and families in the Greater Philadelphia area.
The school is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and dedicated leader who can help preserve and promote Greek language, culture, history, and heritage for future generations.
Greek language schools often depend on more than classroom instruction. They rely on people who can bring together teachers, families, parish leadership, and students around a shared sense of language, identity, and community. At Saint Demetrios, the principal will serve as both the educational and administrative leader of the program.
The role includes overseeing school operations, supporting and evaluating teaching staff, helping develop educational goals and curriculum objectives, coordinating class schedules and school activities, and assisting with cultural programs, celebrations, performances, and community events.
The principal will also work closely with parents, faculty, the Greek School Board, and parish leadership to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students can grow academically and culturally.
Candidates should have a passion for Greek education and Hellenic heritage, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, families, and volunteers. Experience in education, administration, or youth programs is preferred. Greek language proficiency is required.
The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the parish community and to the continued teaching of Greek language and culture in Upper Darby.
Applicants should submit a resume and cover letter outlining their qualifications to:
