Thirty years of tradition continue to hold true for the Delaware Valley Youth Commission as they hosted the event “Sights & Sounds”. This past Saturday, the metropolitan Greek community of Philadelphia showed off it’s youths artistic skills.
They danced, sang, played instruments, and showcased a variety of artistic abilities in Egg Harbor, New Jersey. Hosted at Holy Trinity Church for the first time, more than 250 kids from the GOYA participated in the day’s events, which started at 9:00 am and concluded some 10 hours later. Awards were given out to individuals and churches. St. George Greek Orthodox church of Media, PA, swept first place as a team and in most of the individual awards.
