St. Demetrios Upper Darby to Host 6th Annual Golf Outing at Penn Oaks

Flyer for St Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Upper Darby 6th annual golf outing at Penn Oaks Golf Club on June 8 2026

St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church of Upper Darby is preparing for its 6th annual golf outing, with registration now open for both golfers and sponsors. The event will take place on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester, bringing together parishioners, friends, and local supporters for a day that centers on both community and purpose.

The outing is organized as a fundraiser for the Saint Demetrios Greek Language School, a program that has long been supported by the parish and sustained through the work of its teachers, volunteers, and families. Proceeds from the event will go toward maintaining and strengthening the school’s programs, continuing a broader effort to keep Greek language and cultural education active within the community.

The day is expected to include a full round of golf along with food, music, and time to gather beyond the course. Organizers have also planned giveaways, contests, and opportunities for sponsors to participate, keeping the focus on shared involvement rather than just competition.

This year’s outing marks a move to a new venue, with Penn Oaks Golf Club hosting the event at its course on Penn Oaks Drive. The location offers both a golf setting and space for participants to spend time together throughout the day, whether they are playing or attending in support.

Registration is currently open, with limited spots available for golfers and sponsorships. Those interested can contact the organizing committee directly at golf@saintdemetrios.org or reach out to Chris Tzimoulis at 484-437-3126 or John Ginis at 610-656-1330 for more information.
