At St. George Cathedral in Philadelphia, Thanksgiving begins early in the kitchen. The Cathedral PTA’s annual Thanksgiving Pie Sale has become a cherished tradition that brings families together while supporting youth ministries.
This year, the PTA is offering freshly baked apple, cherry, pumpkin, and blueberry pies for $20 each, along with half-pound cookie assortments for $15. Every pie is made with care by parish volunteers who dedicate their time to make sure everyone can bring something special to the holiday table.
“All proceeds go directly to our youth programs,” said PTA member Katherine Thomazos, who is coordinating the fundraiser. “It’s not just about dessert. It’s about helping the next generation stay connected to their faith and community.”
Orders must be placed by Sunday, November 17, and payment is due at the time of order. Pickup will take place at the Cathedral on Saturday, November 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
