Media, PA – Greek fall festival season has arrived. St. George Greek Orthodox Church kicked off the first one on Thursday. Parishioners and guests enjoyed a hot meal, music, and dancing last night at the annual – “A Taste of Greece.” Inside the church hall, a line of smiling parishioner faces, dressed in blue greeted you and filed your plate as you went through the food line.
The baked chicken platters were welcomed by many, while the lamb shanks filled the bellies of those looking for that ultimate Greek meal. Outside, under the big tent, folks listened to live Greek music and beamed at traditional Greek folk dancing.
The four-day-long festival continues through Sunday. It’s a perfect place to stop in call ahead for a take out.
