Philadelphia, PA – St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Philadelphia was full last night with its congregation. Good Friday was celebrated by the Orthodox community on this spring evening with its annual tradition of the Epitafio being carried down 8th street.
The procession led them around the block and back into the church in single file beneath the Epitafio. There, they were met by Father Costa, where they performed their cross and kissed the Bible Father Costa held.
St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral’s Easter services run all week and end on Sunday morning.
