December 2, 2012 – Philadelphia. The St. George Greek Orthodox community in Philadelphia welcomed John Kastanis, President and CEO of Temple University Hospital, to the parish this past Sunday. Following the Divine Liturgy, Father Costa and church members presented Kastanis with a plaque in his honor.
Kastanis relocated to Philadelphia last year to take on the challenges of an evolving healthcare system. Before joining Temple, he served as President and CEO of the Hospital for Joint Diseases, an affiliate of NYU Medical Center in New York.
The following day, members of the St. George parish visited Temple University Hospital, where they distributed gift packages to patients and met with Kastanis once again.
