St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church to Read Declaration of Independence for America’s 250th Anniversary

St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill will recognize the 250th anniversary of the United States on Sunday, July 5, 2026, with a public reading of the Declaration of Independence during Sunday services.

The parish said the observance will be part of its celebration of the nation’s anniversary, connecting the country’s founding document with a church community gathering in honor of heritage, faith, and freedom.

Each parishioner will receive a copy of the Declaration of Independence as part of the day’s commemoration.

The reading will take place at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Mercer Street, Cherry Hill, New Jersey 08002.
