Cherry Hill, NJ – Good Friday at St. Thomas Marks a Solemn Night of Faith and Tradition
On Good Friday evening, Metropolitan Evangelos of New Jersey led the congregation of St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in one of the most sacred services of the year.
As the hymns of lamentation filled the church, parishioners followed the Epitafio in a silent procession around the church grounds. With candles in hand and hearts heavy in remembrance of Christ’s Passion, the community moved as one in a deeply reverent expression of faith.
The atmosphere was solemn and still, honoring the age-old Orthodox tradition that connects generations in the spirit of Holy Week.
