Berlin, NJ – The St. Thomas Greek Orthodox community of Cherry Hill hosted a gala celebration for their community this past Sunday evening. The event was in honor of their newest project completion, the renovation of the church dome and facade.

The event program featured the V. Rev. Fr. Christoforos Oikonomidis, who gave a speech on the future of St. Thomas, and parish council President Anastasios Efstratiades, who thanked it’s donors, founders and the entire community for their continued support.

The evening was highlighted by several generous gifts that were recognized to help with the mortgage for the renovations of St. Thomas. The Kolovos & Baroody families were recognized for donating the facilities (Lucien’s Manor) for the evening. A check totaling five-thousand dollars was presented from the opening of the newly renovated Olga’s Diner in Marlton, New Jersey. Fr. Christoforos then presented two Icons to both families and thanked them for their dedication to St. Thomas.

A special dance performance followed by the Hellenic Heritage Dance group from St. Thomas, which was introduced by Dance director, Mrs. Klio Kokolis. The evening concluded with dancing.
